Graffiti Our Building for a Chance to Win $5k for Your Non-Profit

We recently bought the building next door, 1306 E College Drive in Marshall, MN. The building is slated for demolition soon, but first, we want to give it a great send-off! What better way than holding a graffiti contest and cookout at our dealership on May 15.
We know there are a lot of creative people at our local non-profit organizations. Now it’s time to put those artistic skills to work for a chance to win up to $5,000 for your group!
How Does the Contest Work?
The first thing your non-profit will need to do is sign up using the form below. Entry deadline is May 1.
Once all the entries are in, we’ll assign your group a space on the building. Painting begins on May 5, and you’ll have until May 10 to get your graffiti art on the wall (bring your own paint).
IMPORTANT: Due to SWAT team training, the building will be closed and off-limits to everyone on Thursday, May 4.
We will post a picture of each piece on our social media accounts for voting. The picture that receives the most reactions on social media (likes, hearts, etc., comments not counted) will win cash prizes.
CASH PRIZES
1st Place - $5,000
2nd Place - $2,500
3rd Place - $1,500
In addition, Lockwood Motors will choose one piece of art that will receive $1,000.
Winners will be announced on May 15, at our BBQ cookout with local legend Kayla Daniels to celebrate our participating non-profit organizations starting at 5pm.

Contest Rules
- ONLY non-profit organizations may enter the contest.
- Organizations must sign up to participate by Monday, May 1.
- Entrants will need to provide their own paint. Lockwood will assign each organization a space on the building for their art.
- Entrants can add their graffiti art to the building beginning May 5. All art must be on the building by May 10. (Remember, the building will be closed to all on May 4.)
- Non-profit organizations are invited, but not required, to attend the cookout on May 15.

- Lockwood Motors reserves the right to cover and disqualify any artwork they determine to be obscene.
Lockwood Announces Graffiti Contest Winners
Out of nearly two dozen creative works of art, the top three winners and Lockwood Pick were announced on May 15, 2023:
- First Place—$5,000: Lee Mar Ranch Equine Center
- Second Place—$2,500: Tracy Area Animal Center
- Third Place—$1,500: Marshall Area Food 4 Kids
And our Lockwood Pick is…well, we couldn’t choose just one, so ALL of the remaining non-profit organizations who didn't win a top prize took home $1,000 each!
